UK On Alert of Possible Terrorist Attack

    June 30, 2015

London:  Prime Minister David Cameron alerted yesterday on possible terrorist attack on United Kingdom after Fridayâ€Ös attack on Tunisia where is expected that nearly 30 British citizens were killed.

There are people in Iraq and Syria planning terrible acts against the United Kingdom and other places. While the Islamic State exists, we are under threat, stated Cameron to the BBC radio and TV broadcasting.

They have declared war to us. They are attacking our people at home and abroad, our lifestyle and what we represent, he added.

On Friday, a man armed with an assault rifle opened fire on a group of swimmers in front of a luxury hotel in Susa, in South Tunisia, killing about 40 people.

According to official reports, most of the dead and injured are British.

After the event was announced the UK began the evacuation of its citizens and sent a team of officials, police officers and the Red Cross staff to assist the Tunisian government in the investigations into the attack and care to the population.

Cameron said the Secretary of the Interior, Theresa May, traveled to the scene  to offer her condolences and cooperate with the authorities of that country.

Media consider the attack in Susa as the largest in which involved British citizens last July 7, 2005 events, when four explosions paralyzed the public transport system in London, killing 56 people, including the perpetrators.
