Pentagon on Alert for Possible Terrorist Attacks on July 4

    July 03, 2015

Washington: The Pentagon today keeps its commands and units on alert, facing the possibility of terrorist attacks of the Islamic State (ISIS) group, during the celebrations of July 4, Independence Day in the United States.

The chairman of the Board of Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, said that holidays in the northern country coincide with calls by extremists to increase attacks in Ramadan festivities taking place this month in the Muslim world.
Moreover, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security also issued similar alerts in front of potential hits from fundamentalists against the police and armed forces officers in the break weekend for the national holiday.

A spokesman for ISIS called supporters  of that organization last week to increase the violent actions against the enemy, shortly before the attacks in Tunisia, Kuwait and France that killed about 60.
