The 6th Carlton Super Annual Sports Competition organized by the Tharunyata Hetak Organization will be conducted at the Carlton racing track on the 27th, 28th and 29th of this month. The events include Mountain Cycling, shooting, four by four contests, canoeing, tug of war contest, motor cycle and car races and many other colourful events as well.
The Tharunyata Hetak Organization hopes to divert all the income from these events for the future well being of the sports in the country. 45 jeeps which take part in the four by four event will parade to Tangalle from Colombo on the morning of the 27th.
The winners of the Mountain Cycling event will be given prizes amounting to Rs. 500,000. (niz)
