England Cricket Team in Sri Lanka

A function was held Tuesday at the British High Commission in Colombo to welcome the touring England cricket team ahead of their upcoming test series against Sri Lanka. Sixteen players consisting of 08 batsmen, 06 bowlers and 02 all rounders lead by Andrew Strauss have arrived in the country.
The England Cricket team is to play two, test matches against Sri Lanka with a programme of warm up matches. The first match is scheduled to be played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on 26th March and the second test at the Oval on 3rd April.
Sri Lanka vs. England scheduled test dates:
1st test 28 – 30 March Galle
2nd Test 03 – 07 April Colombo
