    The government has allocated over Rs. 94 million under the Swashakthi human development program to pay compensation to the people affected by terrorist attacks on churches on Easter Sunday.Over Rs. 21 million has been allocated for the people affected by the bomb attack on the St. Anthony�s Church and Rs. 9 million was donated to the affected people today at the Colombo Arch Bishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith's House.

    Another mobile service of Enterprise Sri Lanka which provides entrepreneurial loans at concessionary interest rates will be held Saturday (14) and Sunday (15) at the Kalutara Public Grounds.The Ministry of Finance has organized this mobile service intending to accelerate the Enterprise Sri Lanka program which aimed to create one hundred thousand entrepreneurs throughout the country.Mobile offices of Bank of Ceylon, People's Bank and the Regional Development Bank will be held at this location.

    The State Literary Awards Ceremony 2019, an occasion to give due accolades to the literati who have enriched the field of literature in Sri Lanka, was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall yesterday (12th) afternoon.Many authors received awards for their invaluable contribution and excellence for the advancement of the literature in the year 2018.

    The 54th Sadaham Yathra programme was held at Jethawana Rajamaha Viharaya in Godapitiya, Akuressa, Matara with the participation of President Maithripala Sirisena Friday (13th), the Binara Full Moon Day.The President also participated in the Dhamma sermon conducted by patron of Dhammsak Viharaya in Ruwanwella Venerable Gampaha Mahanama Thero. The Governor of the Southern Province Mr. Hemal Gunasekara, Member of Parliament Dr. Wijedasa Rajapakshe and political representatives and several others were also present on this occasion.
