A sum of LKR 31,835,602, representing the one-day salary of public officers of the Uva Provincial Council, has been donated to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund to provide relief to those affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The relevant cheque was handed over this afternoon (24) at the Presidential Secretariat to the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake. The Governor of the Uva Province, Attorney-at-Law Kapila Jayasekara and the Chief Secretary of the Uva Province, Anusha Gokula Fernando were also present on the occasion.
