Members of the Inter Company Employees’ Union branches of Varun Beverages Lanka Pvt Ltd (Pepsi Cola Company) and the Eheliyagoda branch of Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC (Rocell) have donated one day’s salary to the Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund.
Accordingly, a sum of Rs. 458,629, representing one day’s salary of the employees of the Varun Beverages Lanka Pvt Ltd (Pepsi Cola Company) branch of the Inter Company Employees’ Union, and Rs. 337,662, representing one day’s salary of the members of the Eheliyagoda branch of Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC (Rocell), has been donated.
The relevant cheques were handed over yesterday (03) to Senior Additional Secretary to the President, Mr Russell Aponsu.
Senior Vice President of the parent body of the Inter Company Employees’ Union, Somadasa Weeratunga, President of Varun Beverages Lanka Pvt Ltd branch of the Inter Company Employees’ Union, R. M. K. Perera, and representatives of Varun Beverages Lanka Pvt Ltd (Pepsi Cola Company), Janaka Saman Withana, Isuru Eranga and S. A. K. Weerasinghe, as well as several representatives of the Eheliyagoda branch of Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC (Rocell) were present on the occasion.
