Registered farmer organisations under the Trincomalee District Office of the Department of Agrarian Development have donated LKR. 3,746,000 to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to provide relief to those affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The relevant cheque was handed over to the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon (18) by the Chief Management Services Officer of the Trincomalee District Office, Kandaiyah Neminathan and the Chairman of the District Farmers' Organization, B. P. Takshila Deshapriya, on the instructions of the Trincomalee District Assistant Commissioner of the Agrarian Development Department, Nesaraththinam Vishnudasan.
