Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath has expressed his deep sorrow over the devastating floods reported in Rasuwa District and other parts of Nepal.
In a message of condolence, Minister Herath conveyed his thoughts to all those affected by the floods, particularly the families and communities facing hardship during this difficult period. He also commended the efforts of the Nepalese authorities and all personnel engaged in ongoing relief and rescue operations.
The Minister affirmed that Sri Lanka stands in full solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal as the country continues to respond to the devastating situation and navigate this challenging period.
