The Ministry of Tourism reports that over 1,006,000 foreign tourists visited the country from January 1 to May 25 this year, with the one million mark reached on May 24—the fastest on record.
The government aims to attract 3 million tourists by year-end and has launched several initiatives, including declaring 2025 as the "Tourism Renaissance Year," improving infrastructure, and supporting industry workers.
The Ministry also credited the private sector for its key role in enhancing tourist services and helping achieve this milestone.
