In line with the "Clean Sri Lanka – A Culture of Integrity" national initiative, the Sri Lanka Navy yesterday (31) carried out a series of islandwide dengue prevention programmes to help control the spread of dengue across the country.

The programmes were conducted at naval bases and surrounding areas under the Western, Southern, North Central, North Western and South Eastern Naval Commands. Activities included inspecting the environment to identify potential mosquito breeding sites, cleaning and eliminating such locations, and ensuring the proper disposal of waste to promote a clean and healthy environment.

A large number of naval personnel participated in the campaign, reaffirming the Sri Lanka Navy's continued commitment to supporting nationwide dengue prevention efforts and contributing to public health and environmental cleanliness.
