The Department of Railways has announced temporary traffic restrictions at the Navammahara railway crossing near the Horape Sub Railway Station on the Main Road due to essential maintenance and rehabilitation work.
Accordingly, vehicle movement at the crossing will be partially restricted from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on June 5 and June 7. On June 6, the crossing will be completely closed to vehicular traffic during the same period.
The Department has advised motorists and commuters to use alternative routes during the maintenance period. It also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to the public and appreciated their cooperation while the essential repairs are carried out.
