With the decentralization of the activities of the President’s Fund to District Secretariat offices, there has been a notable increase in the number of medical assistance applications received. Consequently, it has become essential to familiarize relevant staff at these offices with the newly introduced computerized online system and to provide them with the necessary training.
An Australian delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Australia, Richard Marles, held bilateral discussions with Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), yesterday (03 June) at the Deputy Minister’s Office in Colombo. Australian High Commissioner in Colombo H.E. Paul Stephens also joined the discussions.
