    3 Liquefied gas power plants to establish with foreign collaboration

    Considering the Future requirements, the proposal submitted by Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, in accordance with the recommendation of National Economic Council to take necessary steps to establish 3 Liquefied Natural Power Plants in Hambanthota area was approved by the cabinet of Ministers.

    1. 400 MW Liquefied Natural Power Plant with the collaboration of Chinese Government
    2. 500 MW Liquefied Natural Power Plant with the collaboration of Japanese Government
    3. 500 MW Liquefied Natural Power Plant with the collaboration of Indian Government                        with the collaboration of the Governments of China, India, Japan and Sri Lanka (Document No.49)
