Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa, speaking on this topic noted that he works in favour of death penalty. He further stated that if one says that the death penalty is being used to prevent crimes, that is not accurate.
"We should implement capital punishment for the well-being and protection of the children", Minister Premadasa emphasised.
