The Met Dept. says the showery weather experienced over the island has decreased but thunder showers will occur over the most parts of the island after 2.00p.m.
Showers will occur at several places in eastern province in the morning too.
The Met Dept. also says that there is a possibility for temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
