Police Media spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera saID that traffic congestion has been reduced to a certain extent by strictly enforcing the lane law.
The Police Media Spokesman said that Lane Law was implemented strictly to prevent road accidents. 2500 people have died in road accidents so far this year. 2300 accidents have been reported during that period.
DIG Traffic and Road Safety Amarasiri Senaratne said that applying laws against speed driving, has also reduced accidents.
