Covering all the 25 districts, 75,000 houses will be selected as 3000 houses each from each district.
The proposal made by Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing and Construction, to implement this project was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

A programme has been planned to be implement to supply building material and to assist in plastering 75,000 houses in Island wide to mark the accession to power of HE the President Maithripala Sirisena.
