    Steps to develop hospitals Featured

    Rs. 7,957 million had been allocated for hospital development this year. Of this, Rs.2,556 million has been allocated for repairs and maintenance, Ministry of Health disclosed.

    According to the Ministry, the amount of funds allocated for maintenance of medical equipment and machinery is Rs.758 million, Rs.520 million allocated to purchase new machinery and Rs.3,590 million allocated for new building constructions.

     

    "Several main hospitals,including the Polonnaruwa Hospital, Kalutara General Hospital, De Soyza Maternity Hospital, Kalubowila Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital are to be further developed," Ministry added.
