    Reverse Osmosis plant at Rangiri Ulpath Viharaya in Gomarankadawala opened

    A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, built by the Sri Lanka Navy at Ranagiri Ulpath Viharaya in Gomarankadawala for the community use was declared open by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne Yesterday (26).

     


    This RO plant possesses the capability of refining 10,000 liter of water per day. It will fulfil a long-felt need in the area where a high prevalence of the Chronic Kidney Disease is recorded.

     


    The chief incumbent of the Ranagiri Ulapatha Viharaya, the Commander Eastern Naval Area, and Rear Admiral Niel Rosayro, host of senior officers representing the Naval Headquarters and Eastern Naval Area and a large number of residents in the area were also present on the occasion.
