Sri Lanka will start the construction of a quality lab early next year as we don’t have one now. The construction will be completed by mid 2018.
Once the quality lab is built I will stop the doctors from writing prescriptions using the trade name of drugs. Instead they will have to use the generic name said Health and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathna.
At present Doctors write prescriptions using the trade names of drugs.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
