Marking the end of the 2016/2017 Sri pada season, the Casket carrying the sacred relics and the statue of God Saman will be brought back to the Galpoththawela Sripada Rajamaha Viharaya from Sri padaya (Adam’s Peak) by a vehicle parade (perahara)after the Vesak full moon poya day.
A special discussion regarding the organization of this pehahara will be held on 24th April at the District Secretariat Office in Rathnapura under the patronage of Chief Incumbent of Sripadastanaya temple Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Thero.
District Secretary Malani Lokupothagama will also participate.
