The two facilities were installed at the premises of the Sri Lanka Transport Board and Divisional Secretariat in Vavuniya.

The financial allocation for the facilities was made by the Presidential Task Force on Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease.

The RO plant erected at the Sri Lanka Transport Board premises can produce clear drinking water for 365 families in the area. Meanwhile, the RO system installed at the Divisional Secretariat will quench the thirst of 425 families in and around the Divisional Secretariat.
