    Showery condition expected to continue Featured

    Showery weather is expected until tomorrow (27th June) in the south western part of the country and there is a high possibility of continuing rain in the Kegalle, Rathnapura and Kalutara Districts due to active southwest monsoonal conditions, Met. Department said.

    Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and North-Western Provinces.

     

    Fairly heavy showers (about 50 mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Kegalle, Rathnapura and Kaluthara Districts.

     

    A few showers may occur in the North-central Province too.

     

    Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over Northern half of the island, Uva Province and in the Hambantota District.
