Fairly strong winds can be expected over the country (particularly in Uva, North-central, North-western provinces and Matale, Trincomalee, Ampara and Hambantota districts) and also strong winds can be expected in the surrounding sea areas.

Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa, Western and Central provinces as well as in Galle and Matara districts.

Several spells of showers will occur in the North-western province and Hambantota and Jaffna districts.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75 mm) can be expected at some places in the South-western part of the country (particularly in the Sabaragamuwa Province and Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts).
