Fairly strong winds can be expected at times over the country, particularly in Uva, Northern, North-central, North-western provinces and Matale, Trincomalee, Ampara and Hambantota districts and surrounding sea areas today (19th Aug.), Met. Department said.
Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in the North-western and Uva provinces and in the Colombo, Gampaha and Hambantota districts.
Fairly heavy falls (about 75 mm) can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa provinces and Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts.
