13-year continuous education program from October

The 13-year continuous education system with many benefits for students will be launched in 42 selected schools as a pilot project in October, said the Education Ministry.

 

Once the pilot project is completed it will be launched in all schools in 2019.

 

The program was introduced by Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam to create future citizens who are skilled and talented by the school system, and to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030.  

 

The aim of the education ministry is to ensure the children as well as the society benefits from this program.
