The awarding ceremony took place at SLE Regimental Headquarters in Panagoda under the patronage of Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army, Brother Charles Thomas and Mrs Chandrika Senanayake, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

After the award of scholarships, the Army Commander presented an appreciative memento to Brother Thomas and other main supporters.

Senior Officers, Regimental Seva Vanitha officials, members and invitees were present during the ceremony.
