Environmentalists request not to destroy Duwili Ella

    August 10, 2014

Environmentalists at Neluwa request those who come to the Duvili Ella waterfall at Kosmulla to refrain from dumping garbage and destroy the natural beauty of the waterfall.

Duvili Ella is one of the popular waterfalls in Neluwa developed as an attractive place for tourist and environmentalists by the Ruhunu Tourists Board.

Two water ponds for bathing had been constructed at the lower side of the waterfall and a row of steps are constructed for easy access to reach the hilly side.It is managed by the Neluwa Pradeshiya Sabha who takes steps to protect the natural beauty of the place.

The Neluwa-Medagama tea factory under its welfare program assisted the Neluwa Pradeshiya Sabha to gather garbage under a shramadana campaign and distributed garbage bins. (ST/KH)
