Praising the Army organizers for the ‘useful exercise’ told the well attended seminar that Sri Lanka is fast becoming a role model in its quest for development, mainly due to her geological location that offers many advantages.
He added that to each and every side of the country with largest emerging markets, like China and India, Gulf countries, far east countries and largest sea lanes, invites investments as a mega site, in what we call the ‘blue market’ as global trends now turn to South Asia with large investments, reduction in debt amounts, etc to be supplemented with GDP growth rates. In short, great geo-political significance is gaining ground and a trajectory of immense revival of development is projected in every corner, a fact no one can deny.
Dr Amunugama, assessing world trends said that Sri Lanka’s mega development projects as well as infrastructure facilities, would attract more and more investors in time to come.
