The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB) issuing a release said that there will be a water cut in several areas in and around Nugegoda on September 1 from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. This will be due to disconnection of the electricity supply to the Kotte Water Plant for renovation work by Lanka Electricity Company Ltd,.
The areas that will be affected are Nugegoda, Nugegoda Junction to Wijerama Junction on the High level Road, Pitakotte, Ethul Kotte, Mirihana, Udahamulla, Wijerama, Pagoda, Nawala Road and the road from Nugegoda to the Open University and by-roads in these areas. According to (NWS&DB) release, water to these areas would be supplied on a lower level under low pressure.
