The main event will be at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy and an all-night Pirith Chanting has been arranged for the 17th followed by an alms giving the next day.
Multi-religious activities have been organized throughout the Kandy District by several District Secretariats under the direction of the Governor of the Central Province Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and other representatives of the people.(NJ/KH)
