    Sri Lanka to assist Seychelles in alternative power generation

    Sri Lanka is prepared to its fullest assistance to Seychelles in alternative power generation, Sri Lanka's Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka has said.

    The Minister has offered Sri Lanka's help when the Ambassador of the Government of Seychelles in Sri Lanka Waven William called on the Minister recently.


    At the meeting held with the Minister, the Seychelles Ambassador said that Sri Lanka has focused attention on regenerative power production and has achieved successful results.

     

    Ambassador William said that the attention of Seychelles has been focused on getting assistance from Sri Lanka for producing regenerative power in his country.

     

    Minister Ranawaka told the Ambassador that Sri Lanka is planning to become self-sufficient in power generation by the end of this year. He said that Sri Lanka is prepared to provide its fullest assistance for Seychelles to undertake alternative power generation systems.
