7,500 Graduates to be recruited to the public Service

    August 06, 2015

The government has decided to recruit 7500 graduates to fill the vacancies in the public sector institutions. Though the Cabinet of Ministers has already taken a decision in this regard, recruitments would be made after the election due on August 17, a release issued by the Finance Ministry said.

Under the program of providing employment to graduates, all those who obtained their degree certificates before March 2012 were recruited to the public sector and those who could not apply during this period due to reasons beyond their control had made a request to the new government to consider their applications too.

It has been estimated that there are about 7,500 such graduates and they will be recruited to fill the vacancies already identified in the public sector soon after the elections.

These graduates will be first appointed as graduate trainees for a period of one year and later will be absorbed as Development Officers.
