Showers or thundershowers will develop at several places in the sea areas around the island after 2 pm .There will be light showers at several places in the sea area off the coast extending from Jaffna to Hambanthota via Colombo and Galle during the morning too, the Met Dept. forecasts.
Winds will be Southerly or Southwesterly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
Gulf of Mannar sea area and the sea area extending from Hambantota to Trincomalee via Pottuvil will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
Sea areas may be temporally rough during thundershowers.
