    Special permission granted to 7 hospitalized students for grade 5 scholarship examination
    The Examinations Commissioner W.M.N.J.Pushpakumara said that the grade 5 scholarship examination was conducted in a successful manner at  2,907 examination centres countrywide.  He saidseven students had to answer the question papers from hospital as they were receiving treatment for various ailments.

    Accordingly a student who is warded at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital with critical cut injured to his left hand faced the exam yesterday at the hospital.
     

    Meanwhile three students warded at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo and another three from the Maharagama Cancer Hospital also sat for the examination  .
