The Japanese Ambassador gave this assurance at a workshop held in Colombo. It was organized by JICA – the Japanese International Cooperation Agency. Kenichi Sugama pointed out that the Japanese Government has full trust in Sri Lanka. He further declared that Japan would give its maximum support for Sri Lanka to improve its economy. Discussions were held with respect to uplifting the tourism industry.

 

 

JICA and the Finance Ministry inked a special Memorandum of Understanding at the workshop. It was signed for the purpose of further improving the Academy of Financial Studies in Sri Lanka.
