The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Consulate General in United Arab Emirates (UAE) organized a country pavilion at Middle East Rubber and Tire Expo 2025 in Sharjah, UAE with the participation of 10 SME companies in the Rubber Product sector under the National Export Brand “Your Vital Island ‘to promote Sri Lanka Rubber Products in the Middle Eastern Region.The exhibition was held from 17th -19th June 2025 at Sharjah Expo Centre in Sharjah, UAE .
Ten companies participated at this event in the first time showcasing a diverse range of rubber products manufacturing locally including solid tires ,retread rubber belts, inner flaps, ,moulded rubber products (household and industrial ),rubber sheets, sports goods ,auto mobile components,etc.
Middle East Rubber and Tire Expo provided a platform for rubber products manufacturers, SMEs, exporters to connect with buyers from around the world, exchange business opportunities and explore the latest trends in the rubber industry.
3 k Holdings ,Autoways ,Samson rubber compounds ,Dulanka International, DTH Superdag, Clinco Rubber Mouldings,Ceytra, BGN Industrial Tires, Textrip , Rovince Industrial Tires are the companies participated at this exhibition.
A business meeting was recently held by the Sri Lanka Business Council of the Emirates at the Pullman Creek Hotel in Dubai, where both local and foreign businesses were present. This meeting was chaired by H.E Arusha Cooray, Sri Lanka's Ambassador Designate to the United Arab Emirates · Embassy of Sri Lanka in the UAE, Mr. Alexi Gunasekera, Consul General-designate to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Ms. Thakshila N Arnolda, Head of Chancery & Minister Counsellor. The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Business Council, Mr. Suren Swaminathan delivered the welcome speech, while the Consul General and the Ambassador also delivered speeches at this meeting. vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Shihan Sheriff, the Vice President of the Council. Several businessmen from other countries took part at this event. Sri Lankan businessmen were given the chance to introduce their businesses and share business ideas, which resulted in the development of strong and extensive business relationships.
