    NCPA vigilant about false complainants

    National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) considering the increasing number of false complaints to its call center has decided to pay special attention regarding those complainants.


    The NCPA’s hotline 1929, has received over 9,000 complaints last year. Of them highest number of complaints were received regarding cruelty to children while over 190 complaints were received on severe sexual harassments. 347 rape cases were also reported.

     


    The NCPA acts immediately regarding each complaint received and it has been revealed that some of them are false. Some of the anonymous complaints are false while some of the complaints made in person are also false, the Authority said.

     


    It said that this indeed is a waste of time and labor of the responsible government officials and also a waste of public money. Accordingly, it requests the public to make only true complaints to the 1929 hotline on physical, mental, and sexual harassments on children or not caring for them.
