    November 27, 2019

Ordinary Level Examination 2019 candidates, who haven’t received their National Identity Cards (NICs) yet, are requested to contact the Persons Registration Department (PRD) by dialling the hotline number 0115226125 or 0115226126.PRD Commissioner Viyani Gunathilaka said that those candidates can obtain details relating to their NICs by dialling the hotline number.

According to him the PRD received 350,000 applications for identity cards from OL school candidates through their respective principals and Chiefs of Pirivenas. The PRD has already sent identity cards to all of them, who have applied on time. Besides, certain candidates have been issued an approved data sheet, which can be used as an identification at the examination. Accordingly either an identity card or an approved data sheet has been sent to all the candidates, who have applied for NICs by now.

Meanwhile a rapid service for issuing identity cards is being conducted for the candidates, who haven’t obtained their identity cards yet by the PRD. However candidates are advised to contact the PRD to clarify their issues by dialling the hotline number 0115226125 or 0115226126, Gunathilaka said.
