    President meets Indian External Affairs Minister Featured

    President Gotabaya Rajapaksa met External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar in New Delhi this morning.Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will hold talks at Hyderabad House in New Delhi today.Both leaders are likely to discuss areas of cooperation and ways to strengthen existing bilateral relations between the two countries. After holding talks at the Hyderabad House, both leaders will give their joint statement.President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who is visiting India for two days at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arrived in New Delhi yesterday afternoon.

Singh, Minister of State for Road Transport in India, at India’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.Sri Lankan High Commissioner for India, Austin Fernando and High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Taranjit Singh Sandhu were among those present.

    The Presidential Media Division said Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa will meet Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during this visit for bilateral discussions, President’s Media Deputy Director Mohan Karunaratna said. The current tour is President Rajapaksa’s first state tour abroad as the Sri Lanka’s President. Accompanying him are Secretary to the President Dr. P.B. Jayasundara, Foreign Ministry Secretary Ravinath Aryasinha,Treasury Secretary S.R. Attygalle and Private Secretary to the President Sugeeshwara Bandara.President Rajapaksa will also meet other ministers and dignitaries of the Indian government.
