Pensions Department Director-General A. Jagath D. Dias said that special concessions have been made for Pensioners who were unable to get their pension on the due date due to the Coronavirus epidemic and those who were unable to upload their online applications.
He noted that based on a decision taken by the government regarding the above-mentioned pensioners, the government had deposited Rs. 25,000 yesterday (08 March) to the bank accounts of 3,189 pensioners who had applied on or before February 01, 2020.
He said that the list of names entitled to receive the April pension is listed under circular 412020 (i) on the Pension Department web site.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
