    Box of indigenous medicine to fight COVID-19 goes door to door from Friday – State Minister Sisira Jayakody

    All arrangements are in place to distribute door to door the casket of indigenous medicine to fight the COVID-19 in the country, and the maiden casket is expected to be delivered this Friday, said Indigenous Medicine Promotion, Rural and Ayurveda Hospital Development and Community Health State Minister and Attorney-at-law Sisira Jayakody.

    He announced his plans to the Government’s Official Website Sep;(22).

    Having obtained necessary Cabinet approval, the Ayurveda Department has already started production, the State Minister said.

    This Homemade box of medicine includes several drugs which are prescribed in Ayurveda. Among them are powdered dug titled ‘Guduchchadi Churnaya’, pro immunity porridge and drinks such as ‘Suvadharani’. These boxes of homemade medicine or ‘Deshiya Aushadha Manjusava’ will be distributed first in the areas where the residents are vulnerable to the pandemic, the State Minister said.
