One million jobs under UNP Government – Minister Akila Viraj

Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has said that plans are afoot to generate one million jobs after the forthcoming elections. Addressing a gathering of United National Party activists in Galgamuwa, the Minister revealed of plans to unveil this programme from the Kurunegala District.

The Minister said that the Government has given a pledge to generate one million jobs. These jobs will be generated after the forthcoming Parliamentary elections, after the United National Party had established a strong Government.

 

The gathering of the Galgamuwa electorate was held at the Galgamuwa Weekly Fair under the patronage of Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.

 

It was arranged by the Galgamuwa electoral organizer and Provincial Councillor Mohan Perera. Ministers Gamini Jayawickrema Perera and P. Harrison and Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake were among those present.
