Northern Naval Command organizes a Cardiac Camp

A Cardiac Camp held recently a the tJ/Dr. A.Thiyagaraja M.M.V. in Karainagar organized by the Sri Lanka Navy in collaboration with Asiri Heart Care Center and the Medical Officer of Health (Kayts) received a very high response from the general public in the area. This camp was of great benefit to the people in Kayts where cardiac facilities are limited.

Rear Admiral Eric Jayakody, Commander Northern Naval Area graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and many other distinguished invitees including the Divisional Secretary of Kayts Mrs. Babu, MOH Kayts Dr.MRS Anandaraja and Principal of J/Dr. A.Thiyagaraja M.M.V. attended the inauguration ceremony.

 

The health camp was organized by the Navy as a part of its social responsibility of looking after the people in the islands who always seek the assistance of the Navy for their day -to-day activities, the Navy Media reported.

 

The team of Asiri Cardiac Care Center led by Dr. Vivek Guphtha (Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon), Asiri Hospital's nursing, technical and assisting staff continued the camp till the last patient was treated.
