    Pakistan's Army Chief meets Sri Lankan Prime Minister

    Visiting General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army  met Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, together with Major General (Retd) Syed Shakeel Hussain, High Commissioner for Pakistan in Sri Lanka.

     

    Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army and Major General N.A Walgama, Liaison Officer, were also associated with the visit to the Temple Trees.

     

    Prime Minister during his brief interaction with the visiting Chief of Army Staff recalled cordial relationships between both countries and underlined the importance of further promotion of the same.

     

    Towards the end of the cordial exchange of views, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff presented a replica of an old gun as a symbolic souvenir to the Prime Minister.

     

    The delegation from Pakistan who attended the meeting included Major General Azhar Abbas, Colonel Muhammad Qasim and Captain Umer Sajjad of the Pakistan Army, Army media said.
