Assistant Commissioner of Elections (ACE) for Jaffna T. Agilan said 147 physically handicapped voters had applied for transport facilities in the Jaffna electoral district and accordingly, buses or other transport modes will be provided for tomorrow’s polls.
Similar transport facilities will be provided to those displaced from the High Security Zone (HSZ) areas in Karaveddi, Koppay, Point Pedro, Sangilippai and Uduvil Pradeshiya Sabha Divisions now living in other places as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
They will be transported to the polling booths of their former places of residences and brought back, ACE Agilan said.
