    August 25, 2015

Sri Lanka Army's annual international defence conference, 'Defence Seminar - 2015' is to be held on September 01 and 02 at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo. More than 350 participants, including 62 foreign delegates are expected to take part at this year's defence conference.

The growing number of foreign delegations that attend the event each year speaks volumes on the importance the Defence Seminar has achieved over a short span of time. Last year the Defence Seminar 2014 was attended by over 350 participants, including 148 from 55 countries.

Former President of Afghanistan,  Hamid Karzai, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence  B.M.U.D Basnayake, and Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Chrishanthe De Silva are scheduled to make brief introductory remarks at the inaugural sessions on the first day.
