The UPFA in total has obtained 699,408 votes while the UNP has secured 310,431 votes , JVP 109,032 votes and the Democratic Party gas secured 75,532 votes.
The UNP has managed to secure victory only in one electorate, that of Galle.
The UPFA won all the districts in the Southern Province namely Galle, Matara and Hambantota.
