President Mahinda Rajapaksa paid his last respects to Maha Nayake of the Kotte Kalyana Samagri Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha most venerable Agga Maha Panditha Bellana Sri Gnanawimala Thero on Monday (06).
Ven. Bellana Gnanawimala Maha Nayaka Thero passed away at the age of 94 last Saturday at the Kollupitiya Walukarama Buddhist Vihara. He was the Maha Nayaka of Kalyany Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha.
The remains of the Nayake Thero now lies at the Valukarama Viharasthanaya in Kollupitiya Colombo. The funeral will be conducted with full state patronage at the Independence Square in Colombo at 3pm on Tuesday (07).
